You can become a history teacher through our online program and, in less than one year,聽 be teaching in your own classroom! The History certification covers both United States and World History. Your program includes online study materials, practice exams, final exams, access to our candidate services support team, and more. How to Become a History Teacher

In order to earn History teacher certification with 黑料不打烊, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  1. Hold a Bachelor鈥檚 degree or higher.
  2. Submit your official college or university transcripts to the 黑料不打烊.
  3. Pass a standard聽background check.
  4. Pass the Professional Teaching Knowledge exam (PTK). This exam will be taken on a computer and must be completed at a Pearson VUE testing center. The exam will consist of 125 multiple choice questions and a writing component. We suggest you take this exam before your subject area exam.
  5. Pass the 黑料不打烊 History exam. This exam will be taken on a computer and must be completed at a Pearson VUE testing center. We suggest taking this exam after you complete your PTK exam.

*The state of Arkansas requires anyone wishing to teach History in secondary grades (high school) to pass the Secondary Social Studies Praxis II exam.
